ATLANTA (AP) — Megabus, a bus service operating in the U.S. and Canada, has announced that it is adding an Atlanta hub and will run buses from there to 11 cities.
Megabus said it will offer daily departures from the MARTA Civic Center station in downtown Atlanta.
Greyhound launched its express service in the Southeast last month, serving Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Norfolk and Hampton, offering limited stops and reserved seats.
Megabus officials say the Atlanta hub will connect travelers to Birmingham, Ala.; Charlotte, N.C.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Gainesville, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Memphis, Tenn.; Mobile, Ala.; Montgomery, Ala.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Orlando, Fla.
The company said the service will begin Nov. 16.
