Coca-Cola production halted in Huntsville

Big Springs, Inc. announced Tuesday it will discontinue soft drink production at its Clinton Avenue facility in Huntsville by late summer.

The move will impact about 87 employees, according to a press release.

News Courier staff honored with 37 press awards

The News Courier staff was honored Saturday by the Alabama Press Association at its Better Newspaper Contest banquet in Destin, Fla. The editorial staff won 10 awards and the advertising staff won four awards, for a total of 37 awards this year in three contests.
