Child killed in Sunday morning car accident

A Sunday morning single-vehicle wreck killed an eight-year-old girl Sunday morning, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials said.
According to ALEA officials, the child was ejected from a vehicle at approximately 7:45 a.m. after it left the southbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 343. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people in the vehicle received minor injuries, officials said.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
