Local organizations share their ‘resolutions’ for 2024

Did you set a resolution this year?
New Years resolutions is a common practice. This year, The News Courier asked several local organizations to share what word they want to focus on this year in Limestone County.
Athens City Schools — EMPOWER
“Our 2024 theme is ‘empower.’ ACS strives to empower EVERY student and adult to realize their full potential,” said Beth Patton, superintendent of Athens City Schools.
Athens-Limestone Hospital — EXCELLENCE
“The hospital’s mission, ‘Be the Difference,’ extends outside of the hospital walls to include being engaged in our community and building and recruiting quality healthcare services and providers to our area,” ALH said in a statement.
Athens Police Department — APPROACHABLE
“I want our citizens to know they can approach me and our officers and discuss any issue with us,” said Athens Police Chief Anthony Pressnell.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Office — TOGETHER
“I would like to continue to come together as a community, working as one to make sure Limestone County remains a wonderful and safe place to live. … We can accomplish anything together, as one,” Limestone County Sheriff Josh McLaughlin said.
