- Athens State University’s Dr. Rick Mould, left, talks to ASU board members state Sen. Arthur Orr, R-Decatur, and Mary Scott Hunter with the Alabama Board of Education following Friday’s board of trustees meeting.
A possible tuition increase at Athens State University and a contract renewal for university president Dr. Bob Glenn were discussed at Friday’s board of trustees meeting.
The 11-member board could consider the items when it reconvenes on July 19 at Founders Hall. An agenda item to consider Glenn’s contract was tabled after a request by Glenn, who joined Athens State in 2008.
“I’m not in any particular rush. I have confidence in the board, and I hope they have confidence in me,” Glenn said.
Glenn said a possible tuition increase would be discussed in July because the school has not received allocation numbers for next year’s budget.
