Walter and Margie Hardiman of Athens celebrated their 66th anniversary March 2, at Longhorn’s Restaurant in Huntsville. The celebration was hosted by children and grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Hardiman were married March 1, 1947, in Athens.

They have five children, the late Jerry Hardiman, Joyce Hopper and husband Ed of Athens, Gerald Hardiman of Hendersonville, Tenn., Janet Wilkinson and husband Ray of Trinity, and Joey Hardiman and wife Donna of Franklin, Tenn.; niece, Charlotte Turner of Athens; and 11 grandchildren, Matthew Hardiman of Atlanta, Josh Hardiman of Birmingham, Sara Hardiman of Huntsville, Alicia Hopper of Athens, the late Brandi Nicole Hopper, Blake Haggermaker, Bentley Haggermaker and Brooklyn Haggermaker, all of Decatur, Zak Hardiman of Franklin, Tenn, Austin Hardiman of Franklin, Tenn., and Dennis Turner of Athens.
