Shannon Corder Hines of St. Simons Island, Ga., and Spenser Morgan Matjazic of Elkmont were married in a 7 p.m. beach ceremony April 28, at St. Simons Island with Paul Elbert officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hines of St. Simons Island. She is the granddaughter of Arthella Harris of St. Simons Island and the late Ruth and Bill Corder.

The groom is the son of Suzanne Jones of Anderson and Steve Johnson of Huntsville. He is the grandson of Dan and Charlotte Crunk of Elkmont and Jean and Jack Matjazic of Huntsville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Patty Jones. Bridal attendants were Kelsi Donavan, Lanier Dobrenic and Rebecca Candler.

The flower girl was Madison Matjazic.

Kenneth Blair served as best man. Groomsmen were Zachary Matjazic, Cody Matjazic and Ricky Metz.

The ringbearer was Boston Matjazic.

Music was provided by Daniel Corder.

A reception followed the ceremony at Beachview Cottage.

After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple returned and began hiking the Appalachian Trial from Georgia to Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
