Phillip Duane Hand and Paige Lee Bonafede

George and Mary Bonafede of Pleasant Grove announce the engagement of their daughter Paige Lee Bonafede of Florence to Phillip Duane Hand of Florence, son of Thomas and Sharon Hand of Decatur.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bonnie Dye of Pleasant Grove and the late Jesse Dye and the late Dominic and Salvatrice Bonafede.

She is a 2008 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of North Alabama where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education.

The prospective groom is grandson of Duane and Joyce Couter and Mary Hand, all of Athens, and the late Dr. Stanley Hand.

He is a 2006 graduate of Austin High School in Decatur and attended the University of North Alabama.

He is employed by ECM Hospital in Florence.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 25 at First Presbyterian Church in Athens.
