Kevin Maurice Beasley

The funeral for Kevin “Bondo” Maurice Beasley, 41, of Lester will be at 2 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mitch McCormick and Ray Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. today.

Mr. Beasley died Monday, July 23, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mr. Beasley was born April 22, 1966, to Robert “Bobby” and Joyce Beasley in Limestone County. He was a member of New Salem Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Beasley; grandparents, Coleman and Laura Lou Beasley and Mary Will Thompson; two uncles, Bill and Stanley Beasley; and a cousin Tommy Beasley.

He is survived by his parents, Robert “Bobby” and Joyce Beasley of Lester; his grandfather, Odell Thompson of Minor Hill, Tenn.; two aunts, Dean Greenhaw and Charlsa Beasley, both of Athens; uncles, Steve Thompson of Minor Hill, Tenn., and Stanley Thompson of Pulaski, Tenn.; and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chad Thompson, Bill Daws, Corkey McGill and Brad Greenhaw.

The family requests no flowers, but memorials be made.



Morgan Butler

The funeral for Morgan Butler, 78, of Athens was Tuesday July 24 at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Juaken Dumas officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery.

Mr. Butler died Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mr. Butler was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Lauderdale County to Estelle Butler and Clayton Roberson Butler. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Athens and was retired after 44 years of service with Sunbeam Bakery. He attended baker’s college in Louisiana and Virginia and was a World War II Army veteran and was awarded the Victory Medal. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his grandsons, Shannon O’Neal Butler and Michael Brandon Newby, and by his brothers, Billy Butler and Herbert Butler. Mr. Butler was the best Daddy in the world.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Perryman Butler of Athens; one son, Ralph Butler and wife Shelia, of Athens; three daughters, Brenda Newby and husband, Mike, Charlotte Barron and husband, Philip, and Kathy Lott and husband, Dennis, all of Athens; three sisters, Louise Miller of Athens, Lola Dabbs of Rogersville, and Lucille Sneed of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Paul Butler of Athens; grandchildren, Rodney Butler of Mexico, Adam Butler, Wendy Johnson and Casey Lott, all of Athens, and Jason Lott of Texas; and great-grandchildren ,Evelyn Butler, Jody Butler, Emily Butler, Melissa Butler, Alyssa Lott and Lawson Johnson.

Pallbearers were Adam Butler, Jody Butler, Joel Butler, Daniel Butler, Davy Johnson and W.L. Miller.

Honorary pallbearers were Randy Miller, Dearl Cottles and Barry Miller.



Kandise Ann Eddy

Kandise Ann Eddy, 51, of Elkmont died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Arrangements will be announced later by Spry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eddy was born Dec. 21, 1955, in New Jersey. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, David Pratt Sr. of Lavergne, Tenn.; one brother, Robert Palmer of Brandenton, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Brittany Davis of Huntsville, Kristina Pratt, David Pratt Jr. and Michael Pratt, all of Lavergne.



Ola Murle Ausley Isom

The funeral for Ola Murle Ausley Isom, 94, of Athens will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Don Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Isom died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Limestone Health Facility in Athens.

She was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Limestone County to Joe Ausley and Eula Pearl Pennington Ausley. She was a member of Hobbs Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Isom; one son, Nicholas Isom; her parents; and one son-in-law, Bill Elliott.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Elliott of Huntsville, Becky Hannah and husband Bill of Athens, and Jean Keweza and husband Joe of Huntsville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandsons; one step great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Keweza, Jeff Clark, Matt Blackwood, Jim Davis, Danny Wood, Paul Harvell, Danny Ausley and Frankie Ezell.
