Madelyn Nicole Menefee, daughter of Stan and Shaviny Menefee of Athens, celebrated her fourth birthday July 30 at a Backyardigans party. Her birthday is Aug. 1. She is the granddaughter of Stanley and Wanda Menefee and  Garry and Pam Barksdale, all of Athens. Her great-grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. E.G. Norwood of Elkmont and French and Nell Barksdale of Athens.
