Lillian Crawford Schrimsher

The funeral for Lillian Crawford Schrimsher, 103, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Spry Funeral Home with Joe Teal officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Bonnertown Cemetery in Bonnertown, Tenn.

Mrs. Schrimsher died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Limestone Health Facility.

She was born Feb. 21, 1904, in Lauderdale County. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid cook and shared with many.

She was preceded in death by husbands Hugh Allen Crawford and Jeffie Whitt Schrimsher; one daughter, Jean Crawford Todd; one son, Charles Allen Crawford; and one grandson, James W. Todd Jr.

She is survived by six grandchildren, Gayle Todd Hamby of Lexington, S.C., Peggy Todd Hammons and Aubrey Todd, both of Athens, Allen Todd of Anderson, Paul Crawford of Florence, and Eric Crawford of Cummings, Ga.; two brothers, William Cox of Cecilia, Ky., and Milford Cox of Cookeville, Tenn.; one sister, Robbie Nell Cantrell of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter-in-law, Martha Crawford Camp of Athens; 13 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Luther McCafferty, Louie McCafferty, Morris Braly, Marvin Wilson, John Hammons, Paul Crawford, Seth Todd and Aubrey Todd.
