Vicki Lynne Smallwood, 50, of Athens passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007.

She was born July 3, 1957, in Joliet, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gary King Smallwood Sr.

She is survived by her mother, Lois M. Smallwood; her brother, Gary King Smallwood II; her sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and John R. Jordan Jr. and an extended family.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Athens, immediately followed by a memorial service officiated by the Rev. Jeremy Lucas at the church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Kevin W. Bailey, Mr. Ken Fikes, Mr. Steven Stewart, Mr. Gene G. Smallwood, Mr. Edward D. Medal and Mr. William J. Medal.

Ms. Smallwood had served in the vestry at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. While serving, she was named senior warden. She was also a member of the alter guild and participated in a variety of other church activities. She cared deeply for animals and, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Ark Inc.
