Wedding: Lovell-Haislep

Valarie Joy Lovell and Roger Dale Haislep II of Athens were married in a 2 p.m. ceremony Oct. 23 at The Brick Church in Mooresville with Jordan Lovell, the bride’s cousin, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen L. and Sandra B. Lovell of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Pauline F. Lovell of Athens and W. Gordon and Doris Beck of Columbia, Tenn., and the late Billy W. Lovell.
The groom is the son of Roger Dale Haislep of Decatur and Dena W. Haislep of Athens. He is the grandson of Jimmy and Yvonne Williams of Harvest and the late Elsie Casto and Carl L. Haislep.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The matron of honor was Caryn Lovell, the bride’s sister-in-law. Kayla Long, a friend of the bride, served as a bridal attendant.
The groom’s father Roger D. Haislep served as best man. The groomsman was the groom’s grandfather Jimmy Williams.
Ushers were Cullen Lovell, the bride’s brother, and Walter Williams, the groom’s cousin.
Wedding music was provided by Phillip Owens and Wes Owens.
A reception followed the ceremony at Limestone Bay Trading Company in Mooresville. The Dixie Bluegrass Boys provided reception music.
The wedding director was Gina Richter.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple returned to Athens.
