Bobby and Sue Gilliam of Lester will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 28 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The celebration will be hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilliam were married July 28, 1961, in Athens.

They have three children, Beth Pepper of Lester, Lisa Jackson of Athens and Joy Roy of Hartselle, and five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Jake Lewis, Will Lewis, Jason Gregory, Sam Gregory, Tyler Jackson, Austin Roy and Ashley Roy.
