Annie Vellarhee Marks, wife of the late J.M. Marks, celebrated her 93rd birthday Sept. 15.

She was born Sept. 15, 1918.

Mrs. Marks remembers her late husband, who passed away in 1995, by the times they spent in the cotton patch.

On her birthday, her children, Bobby Marks, Betty Eastep and Patsy Nave, celebrated with their mother and took her to the cotton field where so many memories were made.
