Katie Lauren Slaten and Justin Andrew Toone, both of Athens, were married in a 4 p.m. ceremony May 7 at Annabella at Cedar Glen in Huntsville with Dwight Ridinger officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Tammy Slaten of Athens.

She is the granddaughter of Wyatt and Judy Griffin and Raymond and Mildred Slaten, all of Athens.

The groom is the son of Joe and Rebecca Toone of Athens.

He is the grandson of Elna Toone of Athens and Mary Williams of Florence and the late J.C. Toone and Roy Travis Williams.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Whitney Slaten, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were LilliAnna Kervin, Mary Beth Toone, Daly Dunavant and Diane Trout.

The flower girls were Maggie Kervin, Mylee Kervin and Annsley Toone.

Ryan Rowland, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Shawn Toone, Jason Toone, John Besherse and Jason Baxley.

The ringbearers were Ryder Toone and Wyatt Kervin.

Music was provided by Steven Miller, harpist.

A reception followed the ceremony at Annabella at Cedar Glen.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple retuned home to Athens.
