Laura Leigh Keenum and Cole Terry

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Keenum of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Leigh Keenum, to Cole Terry of Athens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Terry of Trinity.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Alyine Keenum of Trinity and Patsy Patterson of Athens and the late Arthur “MoJo” Keenum and Harry Patterson.

She is a 2004 graduate of Athens High School and a 2008 graduate of Athens State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of West Alabama where she received a master’s degree in elementary education.

She is employed by Athens City Schools as a fourth-grade teacher.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Terry of Trinity and the late Uyless C. and Lurdean Terry.

He is a 2002 graduate of East Lawrence High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of North Alabama where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology.

He is employed by Hexcel as a spinline operator.

The wedding is planned for July 2 at First Baptist Church in Athens.
