Lorenzo Renard Griffin, 25, of 13096 Breken Ridge Drive, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after Deputy Josh McLaughlin confiscated 30 grams of marijuana and 1.7 grams of cocaine, Blakely said Monday.

Griffin was released from the Limestone County Jail Dec. 24 after posting bail of $11,000, records show.

The deputy had seen a vehicle run off Capshaw Road and had stopped the driver near Pepper Creek Road, then found the drugs, the sheriff said.

“When the driver rolled down the window, the deputy smelled marijuana in the vehicle,” Blakely said.

“The deputy found a roach (marijuana cigarette) in the change tray and four small bags of marijuana and one small bag of cocaine and digital scales.”
