State Troopers say 29-year-old Laura Elizabeth Pullam of Lowndesboro was helping victims of a crash when she was fatally injured on Dec. 15 on Interstate 65 near Montgomery.

The Beasley Allen law firm brought the suit against pickup truck driver Robert Cumbie. The suit says Cumbie was driving too fast for icy road conditions and failed to slow for emergency vehicles.

The lawsuit asks for damages to provide for Pullam’s infant daughter.

Cumbie has declined comment.
