An Athens man accused of breaking into a neighbor’s home has been charged with burglary, an official said.
Athens Police arrested Tevian Torae Jackson, 19, of 2116 Stanford St., on a warrant charging him with first-degree burglary, records show. He is accused of entering the home at 2109 Stanford St. on Dec. 16 and breaking a table, lamp, bowl and other property, Capt. Floyd Johnson said.
“The residence was occupied at the time Jackson entered it,” Johnson said.
Sergeant Dustin Lansford investigated and obtained a warrant for Jackson.
Jackson was booked at the Police Department on Tuesday and transferred to the Limestone County Jail, where he was released after posting bail of $10,000.
This case remains under investigation, Johnson said.
