County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Friday:
• Robert Victor Lindner, 40, of 1308 Tommy Lane, Athens, possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, driving while suspended, no proof of insurance, possession of open container of alcohol, no seat belt and improper lane use; sentenced from court
• James William Moore, 31, of 17 Cross Cemetery Road, Ardmore, Tenn., reckless endangerment (Lincoln County, Tenn.)
• Michael Edward Nichols, 66, of 24906 Charleston Place, Athens, public intoxication
• Robert Adam Royster, 23, of 21111 Harris Loop, Elkmont, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Friday:
• 2000 white Mercury Mountaineer valued at $9,000 stolen from McCurry Motors at 24000 block U.S. 72 East July 14 or 15
• John Deere brand hitch-controlled computer valued at $700 stolen from vehicle in 15000 block U.S. 72 West between July 1 and 12
• Tupperware box containing channel locks, wrenches and sockets, total $125, stolen from 24000 block Cottonbelt Road between July 3-15
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Friday:
• Timothy Wade Lewis, 36, of 708 N. Madison St., Apt. 1, Athens, menacing (intimidation)
• Kimberly Faye Bolton Hooie, 50, of 16320 Alabama 251, Athens, DUI (controlled substance)
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Friday:
• Weed Eater brand push mower valued at $212 stolen July 11 or 12 from 1200 Tower St.
• Acer brand laptop computer valued at $1,500 stolen July 14 or 15 at 910 N. Clinton St.
• Snapper brand clutch valued at $35 and gasoline valued at $3.50 stolen from 305 E. South St. between July 9 and 15
• Harley-Davidson wallet containing $100 in cash, health card, military identification, Visa credit card, V.A. card and Tennessee driver’s license, total $140, stolen July 15 from 1109 U.S. 72 East
• Diesel fuel valued at $75 stolen July 15 from J-Mart at 103 U.S. 72 at Jefferson Street
• 1994 Mazda Miata valued at $5,000 at 207 E. McClellan St. used without permission July 15
• .35-caliber semi-automatic handgun valued at $175 stolen from 906 N. Jefferson St. between July 13 and 16

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions or discharges Friday.
