Wedding – Willard-Nafe

Amanda Gail Willard and Alex Burton Nafe, both of Athens, were married in a 7 p.m. ceremony June 19 at the home of Brian Gamble and Denise Andrew with Joe Curtis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Brenda Posey of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Robert “Doll” Posey of Elkmont and the late Inez Posey, Lifford Freeman and Cora Freeman.

The groom is the son of Gene and Joyce Nafe of Rogersville. He is the grandson of the late Woody and Ethel Fleming and Rollie and Monnie Nafe.

The bride was given in marriage by her daughter, Ashten Willard, and son, Austen Willard.

The matron of honor was Nicole Noble. Bridal attendants were Summer Phelps and Yvette Caballero.

The flower girl was Sydney Rose Sullivan.

The best man was Robert Noble. Groomsmen were Jeff Black, Kiran Patel and Jason Phelps and ushers were Austen Willard and Will Nafe.

The ringbearer was Evan Posey, nephew of the bride.

Music was provided by Scott Haas, Barry Ward, Adam Clinard and Jeremy Ezell.

The guest register was kept by Christie Barnett.

A reception followed the ceremony at the home of Brian Gamble and Denise Andrew.

Servers were Debbie Dailey, Patsy Atkins and Diane McLin, Amy Brooks and Anita Prince, sister of the groom.

After a Caribbean Islands cruise wedding trip, the couple returned home to Athens.
