Dru Black King of Athens and Adam Christopher Shannon of Ardmore, Tenn., were married in a 4 p.m. ceremony June 12 at First Baptist Church of Ardmore with Steve Hargrove officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Andy and Janice King of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Paul and Marjorie Black of Athens and the late John and Katherine King.

The groom is the son of Rick and Terry Shannon of Ardmore, Tenn. He is the grandson of Gayland and Emma Lou Hargrave of Ardmore and the late David and Daisy Shannon.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matrons of honor were Corie Hinkle and Kristin Bates. Bridal attendants were Christy Tucker, Angie White, Jessica Magnusson and Crystal Phillips.

The flower girl was Kingsley Tucker.

Rick Shannon served. as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Whitt, Chase Camp, Drew Davis, Jarrod Smith and Alan Summerford. Ushers were Austin White, Cole White, Hunter Camp and Jake Stagner.

Mike Smith provided the music.

Sara Glenn Black kept the guest register.

Meredith Belew directed the wedding.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple returned home to Athens.
