Mary Andrews Dollman, 95, of Huntsville died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at her residence at Redstone Village — Fairview.
Mrs. Dollman was born Dec. 19, 1913. She was a native of Roanoke, Va. and had lived in Huntsville for 48 years. She was retired from U.S. government civil service and was a member of the Retired Officers Association Auxiliary and the Redstone Arsenal Widows’ Club. She was a member of The Church of the Nativity.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, retired LTC Lewis Joseph Dollman Jr., U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Lee Dollman of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Thomas Stuart Dollman Sr. of Athens; two grandsons, Thomas Stuart Dollman Jr. of Athens and Carl Anthony Gardner of Dacula, Ga.; and nine great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of The Church of the Nativity, Episcopal, 803 Eustis Ave., S.E., in Huntsville with Rev. Mary Anne Akin presiding. Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors before the memorial service.
Committal will be in Evergreen Burial Park, Roanoke, Va., on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Deborah Hentz Hunley, Christ Episcopal Church in Roanoke presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, or The Church of the Nativity.
