The Drug Court diversionary program of the 39th Judicial Circuit in Limestone County recently graduated a new class of residents who successfully completed the program’s steps toward affording eligible offenders a fresh start.
Place 2 Circuit Court Judge Hon. Matt Huggins presided over the graduation ceremony, which also featured an inspiring testimonial from guest speaker Becki Naylor.
Embracing the belief that “there is no shame in beginning again, for you get a chance to build bigger and better than before,” the Drug Court offers certain offenders the chance to have their charges dropped after they have successfully demonstrated a commitment, through the program’s closely-monitored requirements, to begin a fresh chapter in their lives.
The Court wishes graduates their best life as they move forward, and expresses gratitude to Judge Huggins and the Limestone Community Corrections department for making the program succeed.
