Several Athens High School Student Council Association on received multiple awards at the annual Alabama Student Council Association conference, ranging from gold to individual scholarship awards.

Athens High School, as President School, planned and hosted the “Leadership…How Sweet It Is!” conference on the campus of Montevallo University.

Student leaders from Athens High School SCA earned the following awards for their leadership and service:

● Gold — Outstanding Student Council Association

● First Place — Marie Bracy Service Award

● First Place — Digital Scrapbook Award

● Second Place — Mary McKinnon Leadership Award

● ASCA Member of the Year — Katrina Wiggins

● ASCA Roger Johnson Memorial Scholarship — Avery Paysinger
