How many years have you been in education? I have been an educator for thirteen years.

How many are with Limestone County Schools? This is my fifth year teaching for Limestone County Schools.

What makes you proud to be an educator? I truly cherish the connections created between the students and me. It is a bond I do not take for granted, and it is sincerely the most rewarding part of teaching. The students know that I respect their values and beliefs, and that I will be supportive as they continue to learn and mature. I tell them how excited I get when I think of them graduating and doing something that they love.

What has your experience in the education field taught you? Being in the classroom has taught me that each student is unique and has different needs.

What do you enjoy most about working for Limestone County Schools? The best part about working for Limestone County Schools is the opportunity to collaborate with the other teachers at West Limestone. We support each other, and we celebrate each other’s successes.

How do your students inspire you? My students inspire me to learn and grow more as an educator. I want to provide them with the best education possible, and I want to share my passion for literature with them.

What are your hobbies? I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with friends and family.
