East Limestone took down Class 1A No. 1 Covenant Christian 45-40 on Thursday night to notch the title at this year’s Bracy Invitational.

The Class 5A No. 7 Indians, who also downed Carbon Hill, Lexington and host Deshler at the annual event, improved to 13-3 on the season following the victory.

Chandler Moore totaled a team-high 16 points for coach Jake Moran’s group, while Jeb Blanton added 14. Jordan Moore was next in line seven points.

“I’m really proud of how focused and locked in our guys were over the four games of the tournament,” Moran said. “We had different players step up in different situations throughout, which will benefit us down the road.”
