Members of the Limestone County Sheriff’s Department wave from their first place float in the Athens-Limestone County Christmas Parade on Dec. 7.

The Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the Dec. 7 Christmas parade Monday morning. Out of the more than 175 participating parties, the following five received top prizes:

Grand Prize Winner: Lindsay Lane Baptist Church

First Place Winner: Limestone County Sheriff’s Department

Second Place Winner: Limestone County Career Tech FFA

Third Place Winner: Athens First Methodist Church

Best Vehicle: Woody Peebles
