On Wednesday, Oct. 25, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Athens Police Department officers responded to the 1400 block of Tower Street.

It had initially been reported that several men were fighting in the street. As the first officers were arriving, a caller stated that someone had been stabbed.

Two males were taken to different hospitals. One was taken to Athens-Limestone for a head injury and the other by helicopter to Huntsville for a cut to the back.

Both are expected to make a full recovery, and the investigation is ongoing.
