Family and friends of K. J. Howard, father of Grammy-award winner Brittany Howard, gathered at Yesterday’s Event Center in Athens on Saturday, Oct. 21 to celebrate his 60th birthday.

Brittany attended the birthday party and spoke during the well wishes. Also in attendance was Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks and his wife Sandra. Marks spoke about families and friends making time to celebrate with each other.

K.J. Howard’s sister, Carla Hood, helped coordinate the festivities.
