Katie Brazier of Athens and Matt Clark of Athens were married in a 4 p.m. ceremony July 18, 2009, at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Keenum officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Byron and Beth Brazier of Athens. Her grandparents are Mildred Troupe of Athens, Nell Brazier of Decatur, the late Robert Troupe Jr., and the late Carl Brazier.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Brenda Clark of Athens. His grandparents are Adell Griggs and Tom Griggs, both of Athens, Nellie Fetters of Arab, and the late Robert Clark.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Kelli Brazier. Bridal attendants were Monica Blythe and Faith Aderholt. The flower girl was Emily Norman.

Jerry Clark served as best man. Groomsmen were Kenny Blythe and Shawn Jones, and ushers were Zach Meadows, Jud Meadows, Cody Lewter and Dustin Griggs. The ringbearer was Jackson Dollar.

Music was provided by Heather Smith. The guest register was kept by Amanda Baker. A reception followed the ceremony at Sardis Springs Baptist Church Family Life Center.

After a wedding to St. Lucia the couple returned home to Athens.
