Sherri Ann Stout and Wayne William Boyle Jr. have announced their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Marlene Stout of Killen, and Joseph Sr. and Denise Stout of Lexington.

She is the granddaughter of Eloise Badickino of Killen and the late Arthur Badickino and Edna Stoot and the late Cecil Stoot of Houma, La.

She serves on the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau of the Shoals and is chief executive officer and founder of Birthday Direct Inc. in Muscle Shoals.

The prospective groom is the son of Elizabeth Boyle and the late Wayne Boyle Sr. of Huntsville. He is the grandson of the late Laurence and Josephine Ruch of Norfolk, Va., Lois Clark of Guntersville and Thomas Boyle of Hadley, Mass.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Alabama and is owner of Heritage Motor Sales and the Sell-It-Yourself car lot in Athens.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 17, 2009, at the couple’s home on Lake Wilson with a 1920s theme.
