Centers are open 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Centers close at 12:30 p.m. Fridays.

Senior menus

Monday: Creamed chicken casserole, California vegetable blend, Italian bread, butterscotch pudding, grape juice, milk.

Tuesday: Taco salad with seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, pinto beans, mandarin oranges, corn tortilla chips, white cake, milk.

Wednesday: Macaroni and cheese, black eyed peas, mixed greens, cornbread, nutty buddy, blended juice, milk/buttermilk.

Thursday: Teriyaki meatballs, brown rice, gingered green peas, pineapple tidbits, bread, chocolate mini Moon Pie, milk.

Friday: Beef hot dog with bun, baked beans, coleslaw, ketchup, mustard, hot apple cobbler, milk/chocolate milk.

Announcements

• Tickets for Poke Sallet Follies are now on sale for $35 each at the Council on Aging office, 503 S. Jefferson St., Suite A, Athens. Includes dinner from 306 Barbecue and the show, “The Legends of Limestone: The Myths, The Magic, The Mayhem.” Dinner is served at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:45. Poke Sallet will run from Thursday, March 7, through Saturday, March 9, at the Athens Senior Center, 912 W. Pryor St., Athens.

• The Athens Senior Center will meet at the Limestone County Event Center, 114 W. Pryor St., March 6-8 because Poke Sallet Follies is being staged at the senior center.
