Men’s day. Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church will host its annual men’s day service at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at 803 Westmoreland Drive, Athens. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Antoyne L. Green of New Life Baptist Church in Athens. More information: 256-694-5476.

Anniversary. Peace Missionary Baptist Church will honor Pastor Jimmy Bailey’s anniversary with the church starting 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, with Pastor Eddie Green. Elder Kenneth Owens and the St. Mark Primitive Baptist Church family will lead a 2 p.m. service.

Pastor appreciation. Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church will host appreciation services for Pastor Charles N. Summons at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the church, 16439 Lindsay Road, Tanner. James Russell, associate minister of Mount Nebo M.B.C., and Eugene English, pastor of Little Elk M.B.C., will speak. Music by Little Ezekiel M.B.C. and Little Elk M.B.C. choirs.

Landmark program. Frazier Christian Methodist Episcopal Church Missionary Society will celebrate its Old Landmark Program 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the church at 1108 S. Hine St., Athens. Hallelujah jamboree. Pleasant Grove CPCA will host a “Hallelujah Jamboree” from 4–7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at 15439 Hastings Road, Athens, with food, fun and fellowship planned.

Trunk or treat event. First Christian Church will host a free trunk or treat night 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, behind U.G. White’s in Athens. Free hot dogs, chips, drinks and candy.

Holyween. Riddles Chapel United Methodist Church will host a “Holyween” party from 5–8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the church. The party will feature a cook out, karaoke, games and candy.

Hula festival. St. Mark Primitive Baptist Church will host a hula festival and trunk or treat starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 740 W. Sanderfer Road, Athens. All youth welcome.

Memorial service. Hospice of Limestone County and MADD are sponsoring the 2018 Celebration of Remembrance and Hope Memorial Service 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1917 U.S. 72, Athens. Public welcome. Attendees invited to bring photograph of loved one in stand-up frame to be placed on memorial table during service. Special candle-lighting ceremony will honor memories of loved ones ahead of the holiday season. Fellowship and refreshments after service.

Prayer Around The Square. Oakdale Baptist Church invites the public to Prayer Around The Square from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, on the east side of the Limestone County Courthouse in downtown Athens.
