A Convoy of Hope volunteer provides a free haircut to one of the many people who attended the event at Swan Creek Park Saturday. Convoy of Hope is a national movement that brings together local churches, businesses, community services and health organizations for a daylong event to provide food, children's shoes, heath and dental screenings and haircuts to those in need. 

Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely hands out bags of groceries to “guests of honor” at the Convoy of Hope event Saturday. Attended by an estimated 2,000 guests, the Athens-Limestone Ministerial Alliance has worked for more than two years to bring the nondenominational Christian event to this area.
