The outside lane of the ramp connecting Interstate 565 westbound to Interstate 65 southbound will be closed briefly Thursday, the Alabama Department of Transportation announced today.

From about 8:15 a.m. until noon, workers will close the lane for the installation of a pole. The inside lane of the ramp will remain open for normal passenger and commercial traffic, but loads more than 12 feet wide must use alternate routes.
