B. Gertrude Brosious, 82, wife of the late Irvin Brosious entered into rest in Athens on Friday, June 26, 2009.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Acres Baptist Church in Evans, Ga. with Larry Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brosious will lie in state at the church from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Platts Funeral Home in Evans.

Mrs. Brosious retired form Warren Baptist Church after working in the church daycare for 24 years. She was a charter member of West Acres Baptist Church. She warmed everyone’s hearts with her hugs and sweet smile. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include, two sons, Don Brosious and wife Anne of Hephzibah, Ga., and Alan Brosious of Evans; two daughters, Kathy Linyard and husband Larry of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lisa McDaniel and husband Hal of Grovetown, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Brosious was preceded in death by her parents, Oakley and Louetta Reyer; one brother, Bobby Reyer; and one grandson, Byron Williamson.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harper, Jerry Olson, O’neal McClure, Roy Ellis, Everett Parks, and Frank Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Love Sunday School Class at West Acres Baptist Church.
