The public is invited to an April event that honors past, present and future Athens State University students.

Athens State University Foundation, in conjunction with the University Alumni Association, will host a scholarship reception and alumni awards ceremony Saturday, April 7, in Carter Gymnasium.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 5:30 p.m.; the ceremony begins at 6:30.

Categories for alumni awards include Distinguished Alumni, Outstanding Alumni Achievement in Arts and Sciences, Outstanding Alumni Achievement in Business, Outstanding Alumni Achievement in Education, Outstanding Recent Graduate, and Dr. Angeline Nazaretian Distinguished Service.

Admission to the event is free, but reservations are required by March 30.
