Thousands of people are expected to attend the fourth annual Strawberry Festival in Moulton this May, and vendors, sponsors and volunteers are needed to make the fundraiser successful.

While the strawberry takes centerstage, the family-friendly event — scheduled May 4-5 — also offers free inflatable activities for children; a display by Lawrence County firefighters and rapid response volunteers; a classic car, truck and motorcycle show; arts and crafts; a mud volleyball tournament; a 5K and 1-mile fun run; and live music. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 4 and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 5.

Vendors needed

Hosted by the Jesse Owens Runners’ Club, the Strawberry Festival is now accepting vendors, sponsors, and volunteers. Booth space for arts and crafts, political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, food vendors and other vendors is available. Rental fees range from $100 to $250 for a 10-by-12 booth for both days. Booth set-up begins 6 a.m. May 4 and must be completed before the start of the festival. Registration deadline is April 28. Sponsor needed

About 10,000 people attended the event last year. To ensure another successful event, sponsorships are needed and are available for every business and individual with levels ranging from $50 to $1,000. Sponsors receive a comprehensive package of benefits including exposure leading up to and throughout the festival weekend and through social media. Volunteers needed

Event organizers are looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers who are able to dedicate their time to help run the two-day event. They will assist with various contests, traffic control and parking as well as in the children’s area.
