Athens State University’s Artheads, under the direction of Professor Gail Bergeron, display costumes they plan to wear at tonight’s Mardi Gras Block Party and parade. Events begin at 5:30 p.m. at High Cotton Arts and the Center for Lifelong Learning. A parade, featuring the Athens High School Dixieland Band, begins at 6:30 p.m. The theme of the parade is “Things That Fly.”
