Missey DeGroff, a Realtor with Alabama Real Estate Solutions, recently joined the County for a Cure Relay for Life team as a bronze sponsor, according to a press release.

The annual Relay event is set for May 4 at the Limestone County Event Center in Athens.

“Relay for Life is a great fundraiser and cause that helps save lives and holds dear to my heart, as I’ve had so many family members and friends who are currently fighting against cancer and have lost their lives to cancer,” DeGroff said. “I am honored to help contribute to this awesome event and give back to the community.”

County for a Cure, meanwhile, said in a release that they were excited to have DeGroff join their team. The release credited partnerships such as the one with DeGroff with helping to grow the Relay for Life family in Limestone County while also helping to lead the fight against cancer.
