Tickets are now on sale for “Holiday Soirée,” a fundraiser for the Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation.

The event is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at the home of Monya and Mitch Claborn at 1808 Lindsay Lane South, Athens. Tickets for the event are $75 and will include holiday-style food. The ticket costs are tax deductible.

Debbie Joyner, development director for the library foundation, said proceeds would be used for several library needs, including upgrades to computers and software.

“There’s nothing more important to your educational foundation than the ability to read,” she said. “The library is the only access to computers for many people in our community.”
