SENIOR MENUS

Monday: Chopped steak/gravy, country potatoes, mixed vegetables, pineapple tidbits, wheat bread, chocolate marshmallow pie.

Tuesday: Blended juice, mesquite chicken drumstick, corn, spinach, Texas bread, cherry fruited gelatin, milk.

Wednesday: Orange juice, chili with beans, buttered rice, sliced peaches, saltine crackers, yellow cake, milk.

Thursday: cranberry juice, vegetable plate with mac and cheese, black-eyed peas, collard greens, cornbread, fig bar, milk/buttermilk.

Friday: Smoked sausage, scalloped potatoes, peas and carrots, fresh fruit, diced onions, hot dog bun, oatmeal cream pie, milk.

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Council on Aging would like to extend an invitation to seniors who are 60 and older to visit the senior centers. Activities offered include crafts, games, exercise and singing. Seniors take trips occasionally. Transportation is also furnished to the centers.

Limestone County Council on Aging hosts paint and craft classes at each senior center throughout the county. These classes are open to anyone in Limestone County who is 60 or older, but space is limited. If interested, call Madison Curnutt at 256-216-3897 to reserve a spot. The schedule is as follows:

Athens Senior Center — Second Tuesday of each month, begins at noon

Good Springs Senior Center — Third Thursday of each month, begins at 9:45 a.m.

Owens Senior Center — Third Wednesday of each month, begins at 9 a.m.

East Limestone Senior Center — Fourth Tuesday of each month, begins at 9:30 a.m.

Tanner Senior Center — First Thursday of each month, begins at 10 a.m.
