Maples and Spidel are both members of the American Angus Association and were selected by other delegates to represent Alabama. The delegates represent 44 states and the District of Columbia and participate in the business meeting and elect new officers and five directors to the American Angus Association board.

The association is the nation’s largest beef breed organization, serving nearly 25,000 members across the United States, Canada and several other countries.

The annual meeting is open to anyone in the cattle business and will feature relevant speakers, educational sessions, entertainment and a trade show. The early registration discount ends Sept. 30.
