A spat over Taco Bell prompted one man to hit his twin brother in the back and head with an aluminum baseball bat Thursday evening in Limestone County, an official said.

Tyler Tarell Dukes, 19, of 19749 W. Cox Road, Athens, was arrested on a charge of second-degree domestic violence (assault) in connection with the fight, said Deputy Stephen Young, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office.

According to the complaint filed by Limestone County Sheriff’s Lt. Rhett McNatt, the victim said after taking a test at Calhoun Community College Thursday afternoon, he and his grandmother stopped by Taco Bell to pick up food for him and his brother, Tyler Dukes.

When they arrived home, Tyler “became irate over having to share tacos and because his brother didn’t get him a soft drink,” according to the report. “Tyler produced a baseball bat and struck his brother in the back and across the head, causing a deep cut.”

The tension between the brothers may have been building. When the deputy asked Tyler what prompted the fight, Tyler said of his twin, “He is always disrespecting me.”
