Simmons’ announce daughter’s birth

Amy Jo Eskew and Brandon Keith Simmons of Athens announce the birth of their daughter, Preslee Kate Simmons, born July 19, 2017, at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. She is the granddaughter of Sharon Hutchinson of Sarasota, Florida, and Vanessa and Brad Simmons of Athens. She is the great-granddaughter of Jan Haynie of Baytown, Texas, and William and Dorothy Simmons of Huntsville. Preslee has one sister, Kynslee Jo Simmons, age 3.

Griffins welcome daughter

Robert Benjamin and Laura Michele Griffin of Athens announce the birth of their daughter, Willow Rose Griffin, born Aug. 18, 2017, at Madison Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Debbie Newton of Anderson, Robert Dwight and Tammy Griffin of Athens and Tommy and Sarah E. Bay of Huntsville. She is the great-granddaughter of Alice Evans of Athens.
