Wednesday: Orange juice, chicken and broccoli, rice casserole, country corn, Crowder peas, wheat bread, white cake, milk.

Thursday: Two slices each of Turkey and cheese, two slices of wheat bread, lettuce and tomato, mayonnaise and mustard, potato chips, three-bean salad, fresh fruit, milk.

Friday: Apple juice, chicken and dumplings, field peas, collard greens, cornbread, gingerbread cookie, milk or buttermilk.

Craft and art classes

Limestone County Council on Aging will begin hosting paint/craft classes at each senior center throughout the county. Open to anyone in the community who is 60 or older. If interested, call Madison Curnutt, 256-216-3897, to reserve a spot. Space is limited. The schedules are as follows:

• Athens Senior Center: Second Tuesday of each month at noon

• Ardmore Senior Center: Thursday at 9:30 a.m.; bring 12 pictures from one event to scrapbook

• Elkmont Senior Center: Second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.

• Goodsprings Senior Center: Third Thursday of each month beginning July 21 at 9:45 a.m.

• Owens Senior Center: Third Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.

• East Limestone Senior Center: Third Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.

• Tanner Senior Center: First Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.
