Darkness overhead

Athens residents were under a tornado warning about noon Wednesday. Although no violent storm appeared, only wind and rain, some areas of western Limestone County received high winds and hail. An ominous cloud, above, was visible from The News Courier office on Green Street early Wednesday afternoon.
