When property owners in Limestone County were allowed to be annexed into Huntsville, Madison and Decatur, our local lawmakers said it could not be stopped because it was the law. It will be interesting to see if the lawmakers will now try to change the tax law so Athens/Limestone County tax money is diverted. Madison should have done their homework before building a school in Limestone County. Or maybe their intent all along was to claim Athens/Limestone County tax money!
